  Renaissance Art Analysis of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Lady with an Ermine Most anyone who has studied art even to the slightest degree is familiar with the name Leonardo Da Vinci. An artist, inventor, and scientist Da Vinci is one of the world's best-known artists. Indeed, one of his paintings the Mona Lisa is one of if not the most famous paintings in the world. This fact means that some of his other works are overshadowed by this masterpiece. Da Vinci moved to Castle Sforza in Milan Italy in 1482 to work as a court painter for the Duke of Milan, Ludovico Sforza. During his 16 years stay in Milan, sometime between 1489 and 1490 Da Vinci created  Lady with an Ermine  (Winners).  Lady with an Ermine  is a 40.3 cm by 54.8 cm oil painting on a walnut wood board created for the Duke of Milan of one of his favorite mistresses Cecilia Gallerani (Lady). Although his work did not gain much notoriety until after his death, his art is now recognized as some of the best of its time. One of his more than 900 paintings is called  Wheat Field with Cypresses  (Shinn-Morris). After living for two years in Paris, developing his use of color and style, van Gogh began to grow tired of city life and set off for the countryside ( Vincent's ). Whatever you choose to call me is fine (if you can come up with a fun nickname more points to you). My father is in the military so my family has moved around a lot. Some places we have lived in include Germany, South Korea, and Japan. I currently live in Colorado and will be moving to Missouri this summer. My hobbies include reading (novels and comics), crafting, cartoons, playing piano, watching movies and discussing them, and cooking. Generally, my favorite movie/tv genres are comedies and horrors but I enjoy all types. One of my all-time favorite shows is Bob’s Burgers.
